A girl falls in love with the leading man of a traveling theatrical troupe and the two elope, but her disapproving father annuls the marriage as she is still underage. The girl runs away before her father discovers that she is pregnant. The man is lead to believe that she is dead, and the girl assumes that she has been abandoned.
