As their mother lies dying, John promises to take care of his brother Tom, whose drunkenness has cost him both his railroad job and his fiancée. John convinces Tom's old boss to give him just one more chance, but when an accident occurs on the train, John must sacrifice himself if he hopes to save Tom's future.
